The service
The Log Book records your vehicle trips and produces a monthly travel logbook in the format SARS expects. It is currently a free beta: features may change, and paid plans may be introduced later with clear notice — you will never be charged silently.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of your logbook — check the suggested distances, enter odometer readings where you can, and review the monthly export before submitting it to SARS or your employer. GPS-based distances are estimates. Set up phone automations only in ways that are safe and legal while driving.
No tax advice
The Log Book is a record-keeping tool, not a tax adviser. Whether and how much you may claim is between you, your accountant, and SARS.
Beta, warranties and liability
The service is provided as-is during beta, without warranties of uninterrupted availability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the service (currently zero). Export your logbook monthly — it's your tax record.
